.jpg) .jpg) Everyone should install this file Flight Simulator X terrain is defined in the terrain.cfg file. During testing, we have determined a certain number of modifications to this file that will correct some problems with the FS world and also provide more options for scenery designers. For example, in some places, water bodies display rocky areas - this file fixes that. Please read the detailed explanation that is included, and then install this modified file.Very sorry, for any support, please post in the Avsim scenery forum.Richard Ludowise Luis Fliz-Tirado Downloads: Flight Simulator:FSX-FS2004, Downloads. |

| Faroe Islands mesh and scenery for FSX Acceleration Pack/SP2
This package is an update to our mesh and scenery, to comply with
and take full advantage of the Acceleration Pack/ SP2. The first
version was published on AvSim on the 28th August 2007. This update
package is complete, so you do not need the original download. The
update improves performance and adds to the experience in several
ways. The SP2 update to FSX (included on the Acceleration Pack dvd,
but also available separately for download from Microsoft)
introduces new features to FSX, among them DX10 graphics. The FSX
SP2 update unfortunately broke part of the old FSX code, including
some legacy transparency code. Some effect code is also broken in
SP2, or at least does not show as intended when in DX10 mode. This
is the case with the (default) effect used for the tower obs-light
in the first version and with the (custom made) effects used for the
taxi lights.Ryan Andersen, Peter H. Poulsen |

| Madagascar Multilod Mesh for FSX SP1 To improve
performance, FSX updated with SP1 loads DEM files in threads and
only the closer terrain (about 10 NM from the point of view) is
rendered in high detail, while at far distances FSX shows up its
default low resolution mesh, if it is not available a
multi-resolution one. That file was multilod compiled from 90m SRTM2
source data, reprocessed with 3DEM to remove voids and spikes,
providing a 76.4m (LOD9) horizontal resolution topography intended
for use only in FSX updated with SP1.It covers Madagascar, the
fourth largest island in the world, off the southeastern coast of
Africa, and six more small islands nearby: 1. Comoros - composed of
4 islands situated in the northern entry of the channel of
Mozambique, between Madagascar and the African continent. The main
islands are Grande Comore, Anjouan, Mohli and Mayotte. 2. Mauritius
- about 900 km east of Madagascar.3. Runion - about 200 km
southwest of Mauritius.Hely
